Fame or Embarrassment

Its been quite sometime..infact, really long time since i've posted anything here. Dunno why but I dont feel like putting anything here. I have quite a lot of things on my mind but i'm unable to express them in words.."writer's block" (though i'm not really much of a writer).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was watching 'The Simpsons' the other day. Now that the cable guy has done the most angelic job of putting Star World back on, I just can't help but stay glued to it. You can call it "Bad TV addiction"[:D], but I absolutely love watching Star World !

So I was watching 'The Simpsons' and the episode was the one where Bart Simpson discovers that Homer and Marge made him do a commercial as a baby where he was.....

"Baby Stink-Breath" [XD]

Well just as expected, he is highly embarrassed after knowing this and gets all upset when the kids around start teasing him by that name.

This made me think (Nowadays I get ideas from such shows only [;)])......
What do these little babies who appear in the diaper commercials (where they are made to do all weird embarrassing things) feel about it when they grow up???

Like the ad where the baby is running in the house without any pants or diaper on, away from everyone who are trying to "COOCHIE COO" his/her butt and eventually the baby's mom (in the commercial) catches the baby and "COOCHIE COOS" the baby's butt!!

Or the one where the baby is walking around with a loose diaper and it comes off! I guess it was for some pant style diaper.

We people find these ads really cute because these babies are really really cute. But what about them?
How would they feel about this kind of "exposure" :P on Television when they grow a little older??

Would they be proud that they are famous??
Anything for fame! OR
Would they be embarrassed that their parents let anything of this sort happen?? :D ;)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what I could think of writing to shoo away the block..atleast i did manage to write something however weird and absurd it may be. :D

Adios!!

I wish..

My vacations just got over last week. This vacation was a little bit different from others because other than just planning the Things-to-do I actually did a few things during the initial part of my vacation. Read two awesome books-- A Thousand Splendid Suns- Khaled Hossieni and Da Vinci Code - Dan Browm. Other than that preparations for placements and then getting placed...YES!! I got placed!!

As I utilized the first half of my vacation quite efficiently, the second half had to be my lazing time. After all I had to live up to my reputation. I was pretty jobless. The whole day watching TV--Facebook--watching TV again XD

Well during this time I did something that only a jobless person could do..Watch the CID episodes' marathon run.:D When I was a kid I used to watch CID as a serious thriller show. Now its nothing more than a comedy show!! Awesome comedy I must say!! Some preposterous forensic evidences and conclusions make me laugh my guts out and Fredrick's acting...WOW!! super duper!! :P Daya,The Door Breaker and The Slap Machine. In fact believe it or not; On facebook there is a fan page of "DAYA DARWAZA TOD DO." MAny other pages dedicated to CID can also be found there. Though I may make fun of it,there is one thing that I like about CID.

The cases are solved so quickly. The criminal then narrates why he committed the crime (Of course, not before Daya's thappad :D) and then the ACP's dialog, "Ab ya to tumhe faasi ki saza hogi ya aajivan kaaraavaas."

I wish that would have happened in real life too. Here it takes years and years to convict someone and then the punishments are also a joke. Eg. 6 months imprisonment for molesting a girl!! This makes me wonder..."Why aren't our punishments harsher??" The crime rate in our country has increased by many folds. Shouldn't something be done to curb it? Why not introduce harsher punishments for serious proven crimes? Unless and until that happens , the criminal minds in our country are going to flourish and be carefree about facing any harsh punishments for their crimes. It would be like...India hai...Dubai nahi..maximum punishment for a few years.(Btw Dubai crime rate is almost zero..barring some immigration crimes..also the punishment for even 'petty' crimes like theft are also very harsh).

As i say this I must also mention here that I recently saw in the News --> Death sentence given to 2 kidnappers to set an example. I think it is a welcomed move and hoping it will help reduce the crime rate and many more such initiatives are taken.

Adios.
